Ms. McFarland - Motivating the kids with computer and science - as you can see below!

Ms. McFarland's many talents are a real asset to our school.  She is also our church organist and is the Program Director for our summer Vacation Bible School Program.

  • A Little about Ms. Gail McFarland:
    • Attended K-8 at Trinity Lutheran in Crete, IL.
    • DMLC was her preferred college where she graduated in 1973.
    • Her first call was to St. John's to teach 3rd and 4th grades and assist with organ and Youth Group.
    • She has coached Girl's basketball and cheerleading in past years.
    • Ms. McFarland's teaching certification was achieved through courses from Michigan State University as well as a Masters of Arts in Classroom Teaching (1979).
    • In recent years, she has served as Coordinator of our Vacation Bible School.  
    • She continues with Seminars and conferences offered for teachers, exemplified by completion of a credit course through Martin Luther College in teaching Religion at the primary level.
    • Shw was recognized as 'Teacher of the Year' by the Walmart Corporation.
    • Ms. McFarland has attended our State of Michigan Teachers Conferences.
